The design of TIMKEN tapered roller bearings ensures that the extended contact lines between the rollers and the inner and outer raceways intersect at a single point on the bearing axis, thereby achieving pure rolling motion.
The newly designed tapered roller bearings feature a reinforced structure with increased roller diameter, extended roller length, and a higher number of rollers. The incorporation of rollers with a convex profile significantly enhances the bearing's load-carrying capacity and fatigue life. The contact between the large end face of the roller and the large flange employs a spherical surface against a conical surface, improving lubrication.
This bearing type can be categorised into different structural variants based on the number of roller rows installed, including single-row, double-row, and four-row tapered roller bearings. These bearings also predominantly utilise imperial series products.
