Features of NSK Self-Aligning Ball Bearings

Self-aligning ball bearings can withstand substantial radial loads while also accommodating certain axial loads. The outer ring raceway features a spherical surface, conferring self-aligning capability. The bearing remains operational even when the shaft bends or tilts under load, provided the relative inclination between the inner ring centreline and outer ring centreline does not exceed 1° to 2.5°.

Self-aligning ball bearings feature either cylindrical or tapered inner bores. Tapered bores exhibit a taper ratio of either 1:12 or 1:30. To enhance lubrication performance, the outer ring incorporates an annular oil groove and three evenly distributed oil holes.

NSK Self-Aligning Ball Bearing Construction

Self-aligning ball bearings with dust covers or seals are pre-filled with an appropriate quantity of grease during assembly. They should not be heated or cleaned prior to installation and require no further lubrication during operation. They are suitable for operating temperatures ranging from -30°C to +120°C.

NSK Self-Aligning Ball Bearing Applications

Primary applications: Suitable for precision instruments, low-noise motors, automobiles, motorcycles, and general machinery. They represent the most widely utilised bearing type within the mechanical engineering industry.
