FAG Self-Aligning Roller Basic Types
FAG self-aligning roller bearings comprise cylindrical bore self-aligning roller bearings, tapered bore self-aligning roller bearings, self-aligning roller bearings with locking sleeves, and self-aligning roller bearings with withdrawal sleeves.
FAG Self-Aligning Roller Bearing Alignment
Under normal operating conditions, self-aligning roller bearings with rotating inner rings can compensate for misalignment errors up to 0.5° by oscillating around the centre position. The self-aligning capability is reduced when the outer ring rotates or the inner ring oscillates.
FAG Self-Aligning Roller Bearing Tolerances
Basic types of self-aligning roller bearings employ standard tolerances for radial bearings.
FAG Self-Aligning Roller Bearing Clearance
Basic types employ ‘standard group’ clearance (indicated by absence of suffix letters).
FAG Self-Aligning Roller Permissible Speed
Under certain conditions, reference speeds may exceed limit speeds. Specific operating conditions must be considered by determining heat generation at maximum permissible operating speeds.
FAG Self-Aligning Roller Bearing Cages
Self-aligning roller bearings of the 222E and 223E series without suffixes employ stamped steel plate cages. Other E series utilise glass fibre reinforced polyamide 66 cages (suffix TVB) or machined solid brass cages (suffix M).
FAG Self-Aligning Roller Heat Treatment
Following heat treatment, self-aligning roller bearings are permitted to operate at temperatures up to 200°C.
