Needle roller bearings are a type of roller bearing. Although the roller dimensions occasionally slightly exceed the needle size range defined by JIS, they are still commonly referred to as needle roller bearings.
Needle roller bearings may be categorised as either radial bearings or thrust bearings based on the direction of load application. Radial bearings encompass various series including stamped outer ring types, solid types, and specialised bolt-type and retaining ring-type roller needle bearings.
